A school beanie is on its way to Willowmavin PS!

Two Grade 6 student leaders worked tirelessly on 'Operation Beanie' to bring an idea to life. The idea grew from a conversation on a chilly Willowmavin morning when heads and ears were cold. The leaders promptly identified the need for a beanie!

Using their lunch and recess breaks, the leaders contacted potential suppliers to find out costs, availability and possible designs, wrote to the school community to determine community interest, crunched the numbers and presented the proposal to School Council. The motion to add a school beanie to the WPS uniform was passed and there was only one thing left to do before placing the order - vote for the most preferred design! Community members were invited to cast their votes and the preferred style was announced at assembly. Our thanks go to My Club Gear for their support throughout the process and for creating the first official WPS beanies.
